Vauxhall Omega 2.5 V6 Estate Corrosion Remedial Work

Nearside wheelarch before cleaning. The start of a front end suspension rebuild, which after completion, leads to corrosion investigation and remedial work around the bulkhead drainage areas and below the windscreen.

 

Surface rust wire brushed off and painted with Hammerite silver paint. Calliper cleaned and heat resistant paint applied. Factory underseal removed in suspect areas and cleaned back to bare metal before repainting.

The car tarpaulined over to prevent ingress of water during cleaning and drying of internal channels, following several weeks of dry weather.
